#631 To Taking Responsibility:

All things considered, Sigma and I basically have to take some responsibility for FF University’s loss today to Up North.

Other than the fact that FF University played like crap, the officiating was terrible, and we didn’t deserve the win anyway.

But alas, Sigma accidentally wore Up North’s colors today, and in her words; I did go on a date with their media services coordinator last night.

He did buy after all, so there’s really no way to not call it a date.

To FF University, sorry, not sorry. I don’t regret it at all.

It so sucks that he lives to damn far away, because he’s such a good guy and he’s definitely my type (blatantly ignoring the age difference here).

I really hope I can work things out and make it to the conference tourney in March so we can hang out for the weekend.

Everything in me is telling me he’s interested.

And not even in the Spike or Captain Cubicle sense,

#627 To The Moment That MADE My Week:

It’s been hectic, I’m exhausted, and I don’t even remember a thing that I wrote about in my feature on that basketball player (Flowers), but hey, I just ran into the Cute Guy From Up North in the hallway outside 106.

And I got a hug and he told me I look good, and oh my god he’s here, and did I mention I got a hug?

I needed that.

I have been so excited for him to come visit since the last time we got to hang out, almost a year ago.

This makes up for all the other angst I’ve been suffering with lately,
Snarky

P.S. Dad, sorry for hanging up on you when he popped up. Hope you and Mom enjoy your cruise.

P. P. S. And now we’re hanging out later. Yes, Supe is coming, but I don’t care. Eeek!

#625 To Reasons Why I Love My Job:

Epic basketball wins.

Of course, at the same time, I’m also glad I didn’t have to be on the stat crew for said epic basketball win tonight because shit went down and got crazy in the end.

And yet, my night isn’t even over yet, because I have a feature to finish,

#621 To Things I Shouldn’t Do:

I should not have decided to back up my computer at eleven at night when I’m exhausted and all I want to do is sleep and ignore the fact that I’ve joined the Twitter bandwagon.

Tomorrow is going to be SUCH a busy day.

Three classes, and a basketball game.

What was I thinking,
Snarky

#609 To Small World Stories:

Apparently my grandmother knows FF University men’s basketball Manager #2’s grandmother, and they’ve been friends for years.

Go figure.

Of course, all things considered, it’s sure taken me long enough for me to actually know someone who knows someone who knows someone else who is somehow related to my family.

I’m also chalking this up to Jewish Geography,|

#607 To Things I Like:

FF University basketball is winning.

By a lot.

I’m not going to think about the fact that Captain Cubicle is at the game and the boys are doing well, whereas when I was at the game the other night, the boys played like crap.

Whatever. The man is ridiculous.

I have such weird friends,
Snarky

P.S. Captain Cubicle, working or not, nothing beats sitting courtside. So there.

#605 To Reasons Why I Love Working In 106:

Our men’s basketball team was away tonight, coincidentally at home, so Supe got me a credential so I could go to the game.

Not only did I luck out to be able to sit with him courtside, and by our team’s bench, but he tasked me with doing tomorrow’s notes package because he didn’t want to (we played like crap and lost, and hence).

Sure, he was joking, but had he really wanted me to, he totally would have let me put my creative writing major to good use and write all the game notes in haikus.

While I don’t have to do tomorrow’s notes package, I did write a haiku anyway.

It was fun,

#602 To Finally Getting Around To Admitting THAT To Liz:

Back in, I don’t know, the third grade, when it was just Flo, Ruthie, Liz, Indy, and me, walking around the basketball court of our elementary school at recess (every day for about eight years, give or take), Liz said to me after I griped about how much I dislike my full name that, mark her words, but one day I would totally start going by it, more than just the shorthand.

When I changed my name on Facebook, she made a comment, but I admitted to her at brunch today that she was totally right, and at work especially, I do go by my full name nowadays.

Obviously, there are some marked exceptions, like everyone who’s known me since freshman year, but I’d say it’s about fifty-fifty.

Liz always does things like that, all being right and everything,

#590 To The Good Old Days:

Forky came down to today’s basketball game, and Market made a comment that with him and I harassing each other, it was just like the good old days before he got his full-time job.

And it really was.

I really miss having him around,
Snarky

#588 To Retail Realizations:

During my trip back to the mall in order to find something fantastic to wear for tomorrow’s New Year’s Eve basketball game because I need to look amazing (mission accomplished, thanks to Express), I had a realization.

After starting off by going back through Forever 21 to see if there was anything worthy that I missed when I was at the mall earlier this week, I was somewhat disheartened to find that there was nothing.

So I moved on to Express. Slightly pricier, but I had a feeling I’d be able to find SOMETHING.

And boy did I.

I might have spent too much on the three shirts I bought, and two of them are probably not going to be work-appropriate because they’re one-shouldered pieces of fabulousness, but I’m okay with that, because I know all three pieces are going to last me a while.

This means I have also decided that at this age, I really have no reason to go to Forever 21 for their brand of weird skank-wear.

I’ll be sticking it to the more high-end stores, because I know that if I take my time and buy one piece of clothing and pace my money, then I’ll end up having a more fabulous than it already is wardrobe in no time at all.

I like this new outlook on shopping.

Especially since Express is totally my style,
Snarky
